Ministry On Campus
...that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures... 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (New King James Version)

Ministry On Campus is proposed to be a way to provide students in the Dunkirk/ Fredonia area with a simple means to spread the Gospel and/or minister to students on campus without taking up any significant time or adding any extra work load.

If you feel led to do something in ministry, but don't know what you can do or you feel it would tax your time contact me and let's talk.  I will help you figure out what you can do.  It may be to simply place tracts around campus or it could be to organize a movie night.  You may have a heart to reach out to troubled sutdents and in so doing lead them to Jesus.  This ministry can let them know who you are and how to contact you.   There are many easy things that can be done.  You should let the Lord lead you.  I will help to provide any resources necessary for you to do the work.  You can work as an individual or a group, I don't care. You may have your own leading for ministry but don't wish to approach it alone.  I will help amd encourage you.  There are many things that can  be done to reach and help students.  All it takes is a willingness to serve and obey God's leading.

This ministry is not meant to do anything but offer you the opportunity to do ministry, such as presenting the Gospel or offering to pray for other students.  It is not intended to be aggressive.  Jesus said to simply "preach the Gospel to all creatures" (Mark 16:15).  There is no need to jam it down anyone's throat.  It is the Word that is effective and not our efforts.  The Bible says that Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).  You can deliver the Word easily through tracts placing them around campus.  Some will read and believe and others won't.  If isn't up to us, however, to convince them, but it is an opportunity  to answer questions in a loving and nonconfrontational manner. .  Mathew 13 talks about a sower who went out to sow seed.  The story says that some of the seed fell by the wayside, some fell on stony places, some fell among thorns, and some fell on good soil.  The sower didn't try to figure out the best place to sow, where it would be effective (he probably wouldn't have been a great farmer), but just sowed.  Neither can you make that decision, but should just obey God and sow.  The seed will sprout and grow where it does, and some will be on good soil.

So please pray about this and contact me if you want to do the Lord's work on campus.  I am proposing simple, uncomplicated ministry.  If you trust God, He will put it all together and do it.

About me:

My name is Mark A. Sam and I have a burden to reach students on campus.   I don't wish to create any type of formal group but hope to enlist Christian students who have a heart for service and to help them in any way that I can..  In the last 10 years I have been involved in youth ministry, starting programs and offering my help to groups.  My current ministry is called The Popcorn Ministry.  I give away popcorn at various events.   The bags have scripture on the outside and tracts and information about area ministry events are inserted inside the bags. This is a simple ministry that God put together with almost no effort on my part, and has become well known in the area among Christian's as well as non-believers. Only the Lord knows how effective it is, but I know some seed has been planted on good soil becuase God promises that His word will not return to Him void.   I depend on the Lord for help, supplies, and venues and He has been faithful in giving me whatever I need.  He will also be faithful in this ministry supplying whatever is needed.
